Age groups

Never the wrong child in the wrong room

A seven-year-old is never paired with a fifteen-year-old. Each band has its own pace, syllabus and expectations.

Ages 4–7

Little Warriors MMA

Forty-five minutes of coordination, listening and basic movement, taught as games with a point to them. The aim at this age is confidence and following instructions, not technique.

Little Warriors →

Ages 8–12

Juniors

Junior kickboxing, MMA and No-Gi BJJ. Real technique introduced properly with partner drills, clear rules about control, and coaches who correct rather than just supervise.

Ages 13–17

Teens

Teens train close to the adult syllabus with age-appropriate intensity. Sparring is controlled, optional and always supervised — nobody is thrown in.

For parents

What you'll actually notice

Most parents come to us for confidence or focus rather than martial arts. That's a perfectly good reason.

Confidence

Standing in front of a room, speaking up, trying something they might not be immediately good at.

Discipline

Turning up, lining up, listening first and asking questions after. The structure is deliberate.

Respect

Coaches are explicit and repetitive: what's learned here is never for the playground or the bus stop.

Fitness

An hour of genuine movement that doesn't feel like exercise, plus better sleep on training nights.

Parents are welcome to stay

There's seating at the side of the mat and you're welcome to watch any session, every week. Kit is simple: shorts or joggers, a t-shirt and a water bottle. Nothing needs buying before a first class, and we'll tell you when it does.

Questions

Parents' questions

  • From age four in Little Warriors MMA on Thursday at 16:15, which is a short, high-energy session focused on coordination, listening, balance and confidence rather than fighting. Juniors classes run from ages 8–12 across kickboxing, MMA and No-Gi BJJ, and teens from 13–17 have their own sessions. Grouping by age matters: children train with others of similar size and stage, which keeps it safe and keeps them engaged. If your child sits on the boundary between two groups, message us and we'll advise which fits better.
