Why ladies-only
A room that makes starting easy
The barrier is almost never fitness. It's walking into a room full of strangers who look like they know what they're doing.
Learn the basics in a women-only room
Most women who message us have never trained before and would rather work out the fundamentals — stance, guard, how to fall — without an audience. That's exactly what these sessions are for.
Same coaching standard, no dilution
Ladies classes are not a lighter version of the mixed sessions. The syllabus, the technical detail and the expectations are identical; only the room is different.
Come on your own
Roughly half the women in these classes arrived alone. You'll be introduced, paired sensibly and never left standing at the edge wondering what to do.
Cross over whenever you want
Members are welcome in every mixed adult class. Plenty of women start in the ladies sessions and end up training four or five times a week across the whole timetable.

What to bring to your first class
Shorts or leggings, a t-shirt or rash guard, a water bottle and bare feet for grappling. Gloves and wraps for boxing can be borrowed for your first few weeks — don't buy anything until you know you're staying.

Who teaches the ladies classes
Laura
Ladies Coach
Laura coaches the ladies-only programme at One Mission — boxing, No-Gi BJJ and fitness. Her classes are women only and built around skill development in a supportive, judgement-free environment.
“The ladies sessions were the only reason I tried grappling at all. Coming on my own was completely normal — half the room had done the same.”
Questions
Ladies classes questions
Yes. Every session labelled Ladies on our timetable is women only and coached by Laura, a female coach. That covers Ladies Boxing on Wednesday at 20:00, Ladies No-Gi BJJ on Thursday at 19:30 and Sunday at 10:00, and Ladies Fitness on Sunday at 09:00. For a lot of people, that single detail is the difference between trying martial arts and never getting round to it, which is exactly why the sessions exist as a permanent part of the week rather than an occasional add-on.
